In this 90 minute training session, we will focus on the importance of studying the word of God and meditating on it day and night, as we learn from Joshua 1:8. Studying and meditating on scripture helps us draw closer to God and grow in our understanding of God’s Word and how to apply it to our lives.
What is study and meditation? Study is the devotion of time and attention to gaining knowledge of a subject. It is a detailed investigation and analysis of a subject or situation. Meditation is focusing the mind on a particular thought. The word of God has the power to transform our lives. Study and meditation are ways we interact with His Word. The process of studying the word and meditating on it is what brings us closer to God, enabling us to apply His word to our lives. Isaiah 55:11, Psalm 1:1-2, Psalm 119:97-102, Deuteronomy 6:4-9
Why should we study and meditate? To grow in our knowledge so we don’t sin. To be better equipped to follow Him So we can be filled with the Word and live the life He has planned for us. Matthew 22:29, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Psalms 136
